@Gwendal LE BIHAN (gwendal-lebihan-dev) comment #4 I've installed & selected Cinnamon as my desktop. I installed Cinnamon from the PPA and logged on Lubuntu 12.04. But then I tried to login with LXDE desktop & the desktop icons changed in appearance... Someone should prioritize finding bugs on Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, & Edubuntu with the Cinnamon desktop before releasing the package to the official repository.
