Thanks Jeremy. I subscribed Steve to this bug. I think Disk-Manager should not be black-listed any more. It has been updated until recently (2011), works with all supported Ubuntu versions, handles UUIDs, and works with no major problem.
And above all: please remove Pysdm from Ubuntu repositories (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pysdm/+bug/1005279). Currently, Ubuntu users who search for a GUI managing fstab in Ubuntu Software Center find Pysdm, which brings problems to them (and we have to help them on forums), when Disk-Manager would have done the work with no problem. We confirm this frequently since 10.04 on ubuntu-fr forums (eg http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=660061 , http://forum .ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=442304 , http://forum.ubuntu- fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=920961 , http://forum.ubuntu- fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=403792 ...), but i guess this can also be checked in ubuntuforums.org. ** Changed in: disk-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1002281 Title: [needs-packaging] Disk-Manager is available in Debian but not in Ubuntu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/disk-manager/+bug/1002281/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
