Yes, this is repeatable. I have the same error message ( gnome-settings-
daemon crashed with SIGSEGV ).

Is my memory corrupted also? Highly unlikely as this is the only distro I get 
this error from. Even 11.10 64bit does not give me half
the trouble as 12.04 does. And this is supposed to be a LTS edition? 

This is purely a developer issue & not the publics. More importantly, I hope 
the developers get to the bottom of this nonsense
and put out the corrective update to fix this for us soon. PS: my log data 
shows the same exact thing as this poor souls log. Such a shame for such a nice 
distro. Please fix.
