This bug also affects the amd_64 release.  I am using a Dell Precision 370 with 
4 GB DDR2 RAM, 3.4 GHZ CPU and have Kubuntu Precise installed on an 80 gig 
10,000 RPM WD hard drive.  I also have 750 GB Home directory.  So, lots of 
"elbow room", as it were.
I too have found that KShisen is much faster with sound disabled, however it 
does pause for 5 to 10 seconds here and there.
Hoping this information is useful to the 'bug squashers'?  Thanks kindly.
