That message is related to the calendar application. As the default mail client, Ubuntu has switched over to Thunderbird, however to use the calendar with events from the top right corner, you still have to set up Evolution for now, transitioning to another calendar application is discussed/in progress, see the Blueprint about planning/progress: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/desktop-p-calendar- integration This has been proposed for the previous release (12.04 Precise), however as it was an LTS and this was not a trivial change, it has been postponed to Quantal (12.10), so we just have to wait and see.
