I talked to Jason about this, and we figure that the work Ken VanDine
has to make contacts look nicer (pull app-specific css theming from
adwaita to light-themes and don't show uncategorized contacts by
default) will get us most of the way there.
Besides theming ugliness, there will still be workflow issues like pitti
mentioned (confusing first screen, etc). But the alternative is to
carry a large delta against empathy to avoid this new app. Probably
better all around to accept this and have it improve.
