Hi Gary,
Thanks for your help so far. I ran update manager and I now do have
version 5.2.2.1 of USC installed.
Unfortunately, this still did not solve my problem. After I updated my
system I opened USC and then clicked on "Turn on recommendations". A
dialog then popped up where I had to sign into my USC account. I could
not remember my password so I clicked the "I forgot my password" link,
and my password was reset successfully. After that a message appeared
again at the bottom of the USC dialog about "submitting inventory...",
but then no recommended applications appeared. When I closed USC and
then opened it again, the "Turn on recommendations" button is back.
Let me know if I need to email any log files or anything that might be
of help.
