Public bug reported: Hi,
I'm following the instructions at https://help.ubuntu.com/12.04/serverguide/samba-ldap.html. One of the steps says I need to execute "configure.pl" which is originally located at "/usr/share/doc/smbldap-tools/configure.pl.gz" but the gzip file doesn't exist. I checked the subdirectories and also the "changelog.Debian" file and there's nothing new for "configure.pl" since 2005. Somehow the file was removed, or maybe it has never been available for amd64. root@server:/usr/share/doc/smbldap-tools# lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Release: 12.04 root@server:/usr/share/doc/smbldap-tools# apt-cache policy smbldap-tools smbldap-tools: Instalados: 0.9.7-1ubuntu1 Candidato: 0.9.7-1ubuntu1 Tabla de versión: *** 0.9.7-1ubuntu1 0 500 http://cr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/universe amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status root@server:/usr/share/doc/smbldap-tools# ls changelog.Debian copyright INFRA README.Debian.gz smbldap-tools.pdf.gz CONTRIBUTORS examples README smbldap-tools.html TODO If the file is no longer necessary then the documentation needs to be updated, if we still need it then it has to be included in the "smbldap- tools" package.
