Public bug reported:
There are several cases when graphical artifacts appears with
xfreerdp/remmina on ubuntu 12.04:
1) Use xfreerdp with 15bit color depth:
# xfreerdp --sec rdp -a 15 srvaddr
See screenshot-1 (w2k3), screenshot-1-2 (w2k8). Disabling bitmap cache fixes it:
# xfreerdp --sec rdp -a 15 --no-bmp-cache srvaddr
remmina isn't affected. Seems it doesn't use bitmap caching (and has no
such option) or use some workaround?
2) Use remmina/xfreerdp with 'Remote control' feature (from 'terminal
services manager') with client which session has different
(higher/lower) color depth than your session. See screenshot-2.
Enabling/disabling bitmap caching doesn't help.
3) Use remmina with 'Remote control' feature (from 'terminal services
manager') with client which session has higher resolution than yours.
Facing white space on the right and bottom side of the screen, it's
clickable (you can run 'start' menu), but it's always white. See
screenshot-3. xfreerdp works fine, that's remmina issue only.
Issue 1 is more strange than critical, while issues 2,3 make rdp 'remote
control' feature (one of the main features) mostly unusable. Please, fix
it.
