Public bug reported:

30-May-2012 PowerPC live image won't boot. Immediately outputs:
 
stdin: Not a typewriter

and doesn't go beyond this. The fan eventually starts going hard, so I'm
guessing it is doing something. Also, when I toggle back to "Ubuntu
12.10" with the four dots, the orange/white right moving pattern is
still moving. So, it isn't frozen, it just won't move beyond "not a
typewriter"
