This goes deeper - - -

The other bug details I have mentioned in Bug #1004456 have now been addressed
by an upgrade of today.

Frustratingly I made the upgrade while logged in as a Guest. This fixed a lot
of the issues,
but only in the Guest login.

These improvements HAVE NOT been mirrorred into my Root account Log-In. So now
these bugs
exist in one half of the machine and not another.

And this particular Bug continues, in that I need to log in as a Guest before I
can successfully
log in as Root.

These things sound related - - - this is an inability of the system to equate
folders across
different logins, etc, etc, etc, etc - - -.

Bizarre !

Thanks
