Public bug reported: On my old laptop HP Omnibook 500 with a PIII Coppermine 700 MHz, speedstep does nor work in Linux (it does well in Windows 2000). If I boot the system with AC power, it always runs at high speed (even if the AC cable is removed later), otherwise always at low speed.
