I didn't think I said that memory was consumed after the screen saver has stopped. Just that the amount of swap used showed that something had been pushed there at some time. The only thing different between two runs was the screen saver. With the screen saver turned off over 12 hours top shows about 500M usage both at the begining and the end of the 12 hours. Swap shows 0. With the screen saver on, swap shows about 300M used (system Memory 1G) and the memory back at 500M or so after the 12 hours.
That being said, I was not doing anything heavy on graphics, in fact I am more interested in audio things that visual, so the kernel graphics driver could be the problem. As it has been some time since I ran this test, I would imagine the logs in question may well have been rotated out. I will do a new test though with clean logs and a fresh boot. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1007257 Title: glschool, and maybe others has memory leak To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xscreensaver/+bug/1007257/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
