I have done some further tests and found that one can still make a bluetooth dial-up connection using Gnome-ppp (Covered in www.pcurtis.com/wind.htm#bt for those who want to use it as a workround).
Gnome-ppp requires one to be in the dialout and dip groups and having added myself to dialout and dip I found I could now use the old bluetooth connections (set up before the upgrades) from the Network Manager although I still can not set up new bluetooth connections using the Wizard. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/952776 Title: bluetooth tether DUN fail launch wizard To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/952776/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
