I have additionally a kernel 3.0.0.20 from oneiric and the upstream kernel 3.4.

Neither "update-grub" nor "update-initramfs -c -k all" did help.
Reeinstalling the packages neither.
All kernels but 3.2.0-24 and 3.0.0-19 fail at boot directly with "Error:
Cannot read the linux header."
It seems to me, that building/installing the kernel-image and/or
initramfs fails?
