I'm quite disappointed to see how the issue was marked as Invalid faster
that I was given chance to elaborate it.
First of all, did you report this as an issue to FLTK developers? The
second one is that _you_ are doing it wrong; if upstream designed the tool
to behave as provided, distros should not touch it. Are you FLTK developer?
And the third, how I would guess with which flags FLTK was compiled agains?
By issuing 'pkg-config --libs x11'? What if I use:
fltk-config --use-images --ldflags
will 'pkg-config --libs x11' correctly return all needed image libraries FLTK
compiled against?
> to statically link against fltk use --ldstaticflags which also gives
you x11
Your solution is even worse. Now I (in EDE configure script) need to parse
fltk-config twice: first to get FLTK libraries and the second time to get which
dependencies it uses???
Can we solve this with some win-win solution?
