hmm, ok, now I feel stupid for writing that. Yes, the point is building
only acroread-common. Then build the other packages with the patch for
i386, and install them with :i386; things should work again. (Works for
me.) Essentially what the patch does is fix the arches and dependencies
for new-style multiarch.
