** Description changed:

- 1) Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
+ 1) Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. This bug has been an issue ever since Ubuntu started
using GNOME 3. In version 2.x I would be able to Terminal-Alsamixer, and after
raising bars for mic things would work. Now, even after raising bars in
alsamixer, get no input.
  2) Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24 (with alsamixer
1.0.25)
  3) Expected Input from Mic.
  4) Didn't work. Spoke to techies at #alsa, seems it's a PulseAudio bug, but
have not confirmed.
