The problem may result from the sda5 partition still having the crypto_LUKS
type:
% sudo blkid /dev/sda5
/dev/sda5: UUID="d39d1dee-5cd0-4368-90af-daf8596d6ae9" TYPE="crypto_LUKS"
Before re-installing, I had /dev/sda5 encrypted.
