Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS: isc-dhcp 4.1-ESV-R4-0ubuntu5

My dhcp-server is supposed to provide the host-name for the clients. I
am using the standard /etc/dhcp/dhclient.conf which requests the host-
name (commentaries omitted):

option rfc3442-classless-static-routes code 121 = array of unsigned integer 8;
send host-name "<hostname>";
request subnet-mask, broadcast-address, time-offset, routers,
        domain-name, domain-name-servers, domain-search, host-name,
        netbios-name-servers, netbios-scope, interface-mtu,
        rfc3442-classless-static-routes, ntp-servers,
        dhcp6.domain-search, dhcp6.fqdn,
        dhcp6.name-servers, dhcp6.sntp-servers;

When reconnecting to the network the client requests the host-name and
the server answers correctly (tested with Wireshark). However, when
using the hostname command the client still issues the local host-name
given in /etc/hostname.

Looks like Bug #537978 for dhcp3 again.
