Public bug reported:

I installed Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin) and found I could not
connect to the internet. Evidently this release will not automatically
detect my network card. which is a TP-Link TF3200. The previous Ubuntu
release 11.10 (Oneric Ocelot) and earlier will.

I managed to get it working by following advice in the Ubuntu forums,
but the update manager would still tell me I couldn't connect to the
internet. Therefore, I have had to revert to the previous Ubuntu
release (11.10 - Oneric Ocelot).

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
