I can assure you that a fix to this problem is not just going to slip into a release of Firefox, or somehow be caused by some other unrelated bug being fixed. It's a fundamental design decision with how NPAPI works. Fixing this bug will involve changing that directly.
Please don't comment on this bug trying to figure out whether it has magically been fixed - it hasn't. Also please read the whole thread before commenting, difficult as that may be. In fact, there is probably very little anyone can say on this bug report that will actually be useful, unless they are a Mozilla employee. That includes this comment (apologies in advance for posting it). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/263435 Title: Firefox cannot close tab (using Ctrl-w) when flash content is selected on page To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/263435/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
