Hey I have possibly found a really strange bug with the irqpoll kernel option which makes my system totally laggy and unusable. My TV card is not working properly after some time (20h or so) so I'll have to boot with the "irqpoll" option. Currently I am running a mainline kernel, but the problem also exists with the normal, stock kernel from ubuntu 12.04. I attached the lspci-vnvn.log. (With lagging I mean that the mouse cursor is totally slow and watching TV in the XBOX Media Center i.e. XBMC is quite slow) If you need any more log files, etc. just ask ;) Thanks in advance. + --- + ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu8 + Architecture: amd64 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release amd64 (20120425) + Package: linux (not installed) + ProcEnviron: + TERM=xterm + LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + Tags: precise + Uname: Linux 3.4.0-030400-generic x86_64 + UnreportableReason: The running kernel is not an Ubuntu kernel + UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) + UserGroups: -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1010887 Title: irqpoll results in laggy system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1010887/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
