Public bug reported:

Xubuntu

Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Release: 12.04

N: Unable to locate package pkgname

I would expect to be able to connect to the host OS shared directories
in the same way as with Ubuntu .

Xubuntu - Avahi - detects that it is a local domain - local IP address -
and blocks access .
