@ Micah Gersten, I am sorry to have posted as if the problem was solved.
It is not. Last post was about running Live CD ubuntu, same behaviour with FF v. 10.0, not with v. 13.0. Updates within Live CD did fix the problem, however, I also have 10.04.4 LTS installed on an IDE HDD, and problem still exists. Running Ubuntu as Live CD is temporary only, and also wish to point out that because of this being a Live CD, did not install linux kernel to latest version, as that would require a reboot to take effect, and all other updates made would be lost on restart. Again, problem is still extant. Besides, linux kernel updates would never take place when reboot took place (as Live CD). Hope this is clear enough. Please re-open this bug report so someone can verify and provide a solution.
