Are you using an Unity session? (Or Gnome-Classic, Cairo-Dock session, etc.)
Because you should have this .desktop file:
/usr/share/applications/devede.desktop
What's the output of this command launched from a shell?
$ cat /usr/share/applications/devede.desktop
PS: note that you can report bug with "ubuntu-bug PROGRAM" command in
