Recently, perhaps with 13.0, Thunderbird has started doing just that - 
and I HATE it. To me it's not a bug, it's a feature, for I can continue 
reading the email uninterrupted by the browser getting in my face when 
clicking on links/URLs within the message, then wander over to the 
browser when I'm good and ready and pick up the tabs in the order they 
were launched. Now every link brings FFox to the foreground and I have 
to click back to Thunderbird.

Should you find/have found out where in config to fix your problem, I 
would appreciate knowing, for it would be the key to getting things back 
to where I like them.
