Hi Mark, and thank you for your additional comments and for adding the
apport info. There is currently a bug where for-purchase items are not
being added to the launcher automatically (this is bug 925014). Is this
what you are seeing? If so, then we should mark this bug as a duplicate
of that one.

However, I see by your comment #2 that free apps are not being added to
the launcher for you. I tried these myself to verify, but in my case
Super Tux and Pingus were both added to the launcher correctly, so it
seems that I cannot reproduce the error that you are seeing.

So that we can try to gather more information to help us to debug this
issue, could you please try running Software Center in debug mode from a
terminal window as follows:

  $ software-center --debug 2> /tmp/software-center-debug.log

Then uninstall Super Tux or Pingus, and reinstall it. If the icon is
again not added to the launcher, please attach the file /tmp/software-
center-debug.log to this bug report. If it *is* added this time, please
let us know that as well, and maybe try another app or two to see if you
can reproduce the error.

Thanks! Your help is much appreciated!
