Also please note that some softwares _refuses_ to work as root or at
least it's not default. Since running slapd as root hasn't got any
advantage (OK, binding to ports below 1024 requires root priv in UNIX,
but sure, slapd can drop its privs as soon as possible), I think the
default should be run as user, let's say 'ldap', like postfix package
creates postfix user, for example ... Sorry for the noise anyway :)
