Thank you for filing this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Can
you please post your lightdm.conf file (/etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf) and
also let me know what greeters you have installed? (dpkg -l | grep
greeter should suffice). Finally what version of lightdm is
installed?
Also do you have any more details to add? Are you just getting a black
screen?
