Quoting the attached VarLogDistupgradeTermlog.gz: > /var/lib/dpkg/info/ssmtp.config: 11: export: smtp.gmail.com:587: bad variable > name
This is similar to bug #108754 in that the root cause is brittle processing of the config file in the upgrade script. As a workaround, you should be able to finish the upgrade by editing the file /etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf down to a bare minimum, upgrading, then putting back the stuff you took out. ** Summary changed: - package ssmtp 2.64-5build1 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 + /var/lib/dpkg/info/ssmtp.config: 11: export: smtp.gmail.com:587: bad variable name -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1001593 Title: /var/lib/dpkg/info/ssmtp.config: 11: export: smtp.gmail.com:587: bad variable name To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ssmtp/+bug/1001593/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
