As requested I've tested the latest upstream kernel. > uname -a: Linux vaio 3.5.0-030500rc2-generic #201206082235 SMP Sat Jun 9 02:36:22 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
After a short while I saw a short connection loss. Linux was able to recover from this and re-establish the connection. However after approximately one hour the connection was dropped again and this time could not be re-established. I had to use the hardware switch for wireless connections to recover from that situation. Contrary to my tests with the ubuntu kernel several error messages appeared in dmesg (see attachment). And additionally (but probably unrelated) I was not able to use my bluetooth mouse with kernel 3.5.x at all. For testing I used a usb mouse today. Please let me know if you need further testing. Unfortunately "ubuntu- bug" refused to work today because of the mainline kernel (otherwise I possibly would have more detailed information). ** Attachment added: "Output of dmesg" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1013257/+attachment/3190954/+files/2012-05-22-ubuntu-12.04-amd64-mainline-kernel-3.5-dmesg.txt ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1013257 Title: Wifi disconnects with intel chipset To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1013257/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
