Public bug reported: I booted the Ubuntu 12.04 live-/install-cd, started ubiquity without --no-migration-assistant, followed the wizard until the 'commercials' part - i.e. until the user and migration assistant is finished and some slides telling me about Ubuntu should be displayed. Then the installer crashes, displays some window telling me that it crashed and the desktop will be started to allow me to debug the issue. It leaves some apt-get processes behind which appear to install some data. The installation does not seem to finish.
When I do the same with --no-migration-assistant, the installer will crash after the user assistant, also when the first image of the slideshow should be displayed. This time no window telling me about the crash is displayed (could be because I am on the desktop already). The logs attached to this report were created during the run with --no- migration-assistant.
