As workaround just kill your compiz with HUP:
| user@host:~$ ps axu |grep compiz
| user 3613 1.6 1.2 1405592 101044 ? Rl Jun12 125:27 compiz
| user 3707 0.0 0.0 4392 608 ? Ss Jun12 0:00 /bin/sh -c
/usr/bin/compiz-decorator
| user@host:~$
| user@host:~$ kill -1 3613
