Public bug reported:

Hello,

After an update to the system (LTS 12.04, always updated to latest
version), I could not log or use the system. Using an ssh connection to
it, it appears X.org is using 100% CPU or the system spends 49.5% in
waiting (wa in top).

They are following error messages in the logs:
* In kern.log
"""
Jun 17 11:44:33 erha kernel: [  536.570256] NVRM: os_schedule: Attempted to
yield the CPU while in atomic or interrupt context
Jun 17 11:44:37 erha kernel: [  540.599791] NVRM: os_schedule: Attempted to
yield the CPU while in atomic or interrupt context
"""

* In X.0.log:
"""
[   401.462] (EE) NVIDIA(0): Error recovery failed.
[   401.561] (EE) NVIDIA(0):  *** Aborting ***
"""

Removing "nvidia-current" package allows me to login into the system and
use it, even if the graphic resolution is very bad.

System currently used:
$ lsb_release -rd
Description:    Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Release:        12.04

I used several versions of Ubuntu on the same machine, upgrading each 6
months to the new version, and I never had this issue.

Best regards,
D. Mentré
