An update: when awaking from hibernate, just once every 5-6 times, the keyboard/touchpad are not working. However the OS is running fine (I can login remotely via SSH). As reported above, this very same behaviour is happening as well in a normal boot/reboot. I filed a separate bug for this one: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1014240
