I can reproduce systematically with a 12.04 (final ISO, Unity 5.10) in VirtualBox (boot on the ISO -> choose "Try Ubuntu" -> System settings -> Appearance -> set "high contrast". No other change.). The menu bar becomes transparent.
Then I typed unity --reset . See the attached logs. The effect is that : the menu bar remains transparent, and Compiz crash with SIGSEGV when I click on the menu bar or open a window or else.. Remark: I have no internet in VirtualBox (bug of VB?), so I can't test with Unity 5.12. ** Attachment added: "logs of unity --reset" https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/975602/+attachment/3194630/+files/log.tar.gz ** Changed in: unity Status: Incomplete => New ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/975602 Title: Unity's menu bar becomes transparent when using HighConstrast themes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/975602/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
