Are your option settings respected if you print from the command line,
for example
lpr -o Duplex=DuplexNoTumble ColorMode=ICM file.pdf
What happens if you choose "Export to PDF" in the "File" menu of
LibeOffice and print the saved PDF file with evince afterwards?
