The problem ocoured with pkg
vmware-player-kernel-modules-2.6.15-23-686
and this pkg is built to work with 2.6.15-23-686
kernel, not 2.6.15.7-ubuntu1-fai-kernels.
So it's IMHO definitely ;) not a bug in fai.
vmware-player-kernel-modules-2.6.15-26 in dapper
has in postinst:
...
case "$1" in
configure)
depmod -a
;;
...
but it should use 'depmod 2.6.15-26' instead.
