In Ubuntu 12.04, the shortcut changed to Control+Super+Up. But the
"Keyboard Shortcuts" overlay should show the current key combo. Could
you please look in CCSM > General Options > Key bindings ... and let us
know what it says next to "Maximize Window"?
If it doesn't say Alt+F10 in CCSM then this is a bug in unity (Keyboard
Shortcuts overlay).
