Seems like it's the same issue as this one: http://askubuntu.com/questions/153691/screen-doesnt-display-after- resume-using-x-swat-nvidia-drivers
And Bryn there mentioned a thread in the nV News forums, apparently discussing this very same issue that seems to have started/regressed with version 302.07 of the driver (and the same or a very similar issue was already present and then fixed in older versions): http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=179956 I'm affected by this issue, as well, though I'm on Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS x86_64, with Linux kernel version 2.6.38-13-generic and version 302.17-0ubuntu1~lucid~xup3 of the NVidia driver. Before the update, I was on 295.53-0ubuntu1~lucid~xup1, where I did *not* have this issue. Let's hope NVidia gets us a fix soon. Rebooting is just so annoying! ;) Oh, the Ubuntu-X-Swat team asks to contact them for questions and bugs with software from their PPA: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Maybe they can also do something?
