Robert, SRU stands for Stable Release Update. Those are the updates that you get on a stable, released version of Ubuntu (like 11.10 or 12.04) - the ones that Update Manager offers for you.
Since we're talking about updates for a *stable* release that shouldn't change except to solve serious bugs, this kind of issue would be hard to justify for a SRU, even for Ubuntu 12.04 where the wording is still a bit strange. If you want to learn more about SRUs and the criteria they have to pass in order to be accepted, read here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1015619 Title: System testing instructions misleading on optical/cdromwrite To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/checkbox/+bug/1015619/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
