I added some "desktop application files" with exec arguments like
"/usr/bin/nautilus /home/me" or "/usr/bin/nautilus trash:///" and e.g.
Icon = folder_home to "~/.local/share/applications". I also used gksu to
edit one desktop application file (in /usr/share/applications). I also
used my Firefox browser. I also have several gnome shell extensions
installed.
