I have an old Dell Inspiron 1525 notebook with ATA WDC WD1200BEVS-75UST0 hard drive and if I going to refresh SMART status, I get this error. Further to that, Self-diagnosis show a status: "Cancelled (hardware or software fail)"
Ubuntu 12.04.
