I have the same problem when booting from an usb stick or a live cd, trying
installing ubuntu 12.04, an error occurs before reaching the installation
screen:kernel panic not syncing unable to mount root fs unknown-block(0,0), my
caps lock and an other key start blinking when this happens.i am unable to
continue a clean installation...no problem with ubuntu 11.10, so what can i do,
i am a beginner in linux....???
i have a dell vostro 1015.
