Public bug reported:

Ubuntu software center crashed and stop working, I had to force stop it with
the terminal using: ps -e to bring the list up then use: sudo kill -9
command to kill it then I have to use : sudo apt-get --purge remove
nautilus-dropbox;
sudo apt-get --purge autoremove;
rm -r ~/.dropbox-dist to remove and free up synaptic / ubuntu s/c .
Tried the Synaptic as well same thing was hanging on 99% and I used the same
commands as before.
I hope this info will help you out.

Cheers
Patrick
