There was a report of a similar issue with GEdit,
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client/+bug/1012620 for which a fix
was released in ubuntuone-client 3.0.2 which was SRU'd a few days ago.
If you could try that release and this still happens, please reopen, in
the meantime I am marking as duplicate.
