Thank you for following-up. The problem isn't with the internal mono speaker, it is with the rear speaker jack. The rear speaker jack is not muting when headphones are connected.
I think the internal mono speaker is already muted when speakers are connected to the rear jack. It does not make sound when my speakers are connected. To answer the question directly, yes, please. Both the internal mono speaker and the rear speaker jack should mute when headphones are connected.
