I am running Ubuntu 12.10 "Quantal Quetzal" - Alpha amd64 (20120521) too. I have installed Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Korean with Language Support. My system language is Japanese.
Today the same error occurred as soon as the desktop finished loading.
