Hi François, and thank you for your report. In fact, all of the online
features of Software Center (recommendations, syncing of software across
computers, purchasing software) require an account with Ubuntu SSO, and
so in the UI we refer to it as requiring a Software Center account. I
think this seems correct. I'll close this bug, but please feel free to
reopen and comment here if you do not agree.
